New mantra? That has been the mantra for the Flames for 10+ years.
There's a mindset of being slightly better than average is good enough for this team, which flows through management, coaching, fans and players.
Then there's a smaller percentage of fans that want to see this team really start thinking like an elite team and doing everything to move in that direction. GG is not a coach of this mindset and I'm not sure upper management is either.
The good enough mindset that is always around the Flames is an infection we can't get rid of in my opinion.
