Something about that just rubs me the wrong way.

You might be able to make your own apothic, by buying Copper Moon for half price, and putting a tablespoon of table sugar in each glass. It's essentially the same thing.

Anyway, that's my last apothic rant. It's like when Wendy's had salad for a while, and they put sugar in the salad. And then everyone thought they had the best lettuce.
Raises an interesting issue about sweet wines more generally. They get an (undeserved) bad rap. Not taking about Apothic, never tried - probably never will, but the idea that wine shouldn't be sweet is a strange one of you look into the history of wine.

It's really been a recent phenomenon that dry wines have dominated the wine market. Humans used to drink alot of sweet wine. It was more common than dry wine.

Anyway, there are some truly fantastic sweet wines out there. Capped by the greatest, Sauternes. The bottles are somewhat expensive, so if you have a chance at a wine festival to try some Sauternes, you absolutely should. I've been fortunate enough to try some Chateau D'Yquem, long regarded as the best Sauternes. It is truly amazing wine.
