Financial doping is a top notch term I must say. I'm just glad I don't cheer for anyone so I can just enjoy watching them play, because they are by a pretty decent margin the most enjoyable PL team I've ever watched. Having money matters, sure, but it's also how you spend it. Spurs spent £30 million on Sissoko, City spent £30 million on Jesus. United spent £160 million on Pogba and Lukaku, City got De Bruyne, Sane, Gundogan and Sterling for the same amount of money. Spurs thought they could sell Walker and bring Trippier in, no loss...Trippier has been ok this season, but was easily the worst player on the pitch today and Walker has improved under Pep. At this point they really don't even need to get Alexis, he'd be a bench player.
