He didn't dive and he wasn't tripped, he was pushed over. Hard to be certain that he was even touched by the stick.... even as he was being pushed over top of it.
Regardless. it was not an obvious 4 alarm missed penalty that the refs would have called had they known that the Sharks were going down to stuff it through Smith. Same play might get called a penalty 1 time in 10 , in the 1st period, usually bay the far away ref, as a make up penalty.
