I think it's very possible that the three-game stretch with Montreal Toronto and Vancouver saved his job. I've been trying to convince myself that he was like a young player that will get better as time goes on and he gains experience.
I'm now convinced that that is not true. He is so rigid when it comes to what he thinks will lead to winning hockey.
Since the beginning of time a big clapper from the point has been important on the power play but this genius thinks it doesn't matter at all. We also use a 4th line winger on the first power play unit. A young guy that was a stud playing on the right side as a left handed defenseman has looked lost and floundered since he's been forced to the other side but not even for one second has he been given the opportunity to do what worked so well in the past.
I throw my hands up in the air with this coach and I'm convinced that we go nowhere as long as he's the guy behind the bench.
