I don't know why Turris would lie about that and given that Melnyk is a known penny pincher I may side with the player on this one. When you look at the Duchesne trade which has turned out to be a disaster to date and that Karlsson looks to have one foot out the door I would say Doirion's level of suckage is also pretty high. Knowing Melnyk I'm sure Doirion has his hands tied to an extent but that deal never made a lot of sense to me nor did that Burrows trade and immediate $5 million extension as he's got 6 points in 29 games. Strange moves.
