Gould is an extreme example of an attitude that is almost pervasive in North America: what people think you are is more important that who you are. One day the bubble will burst for these folks and they'll take the rest of us down with them.
Yeah the world is full of these types. I know they dupe a lot of people but I have always seen them from a mile away...and its obvious most of the time, but people still fall for stuff like this.

Its really sad actually.
