I can't deal with commercials or talking heads anymore, so it's usually the morning after.

Do people still listen to terrestrial radio? Derp.
Some people have these special buttons on their remotes called "mute". It silences commercials and anything else you don't want to hear. Check for that feature on your next TV purchase.
As for the dinosaurs that still watch live games, there are a couple different techniques, such as starting to watch at the end of the first and banking 40 minutes of PVR time so that you're caught up around midway third. Then there's the actual live game experience where you watch the game, and spend the commercials reading CP. During intermissions you can eat dinner on the first one, and get creative on the second one. Some people smoke up, some people sex up.
I can't believe I just wasted 3 minutes typing this out. It's just so lame when people make these kind of dumass comments. Yeah, like most people wake up in the morning and watch a fricken hockey game from last night. Everyone has an extra hour in the morning to watch a hockey game on power skip. Everyone goes dark all night and turns off their phones to avoid text messages and updates. Nobody posts on CP during the game, they just suppose what might be happening in the game, and wake up extra early the next day to watch it.
