I'll never force a filter on any fan, but if you deem him a fourth liner, he's a good one. If you look at the salaries on the team and where he sorts he's a hot mess.

Forget expectations and salary entirely.
Ruined 3M that up until that point could carry most players.
Rooms the powerplay, shouldn't be getting time there.
He played the 6th most minutes of any forward and hurt the team in those minutes. There's no rationalizing that. You can say "it's not his fault he's given those minutes" but that irrelevant to either his performance or my expectations of what he's doing for the team in any given night.
