Brouwer is pretty much where Stajan was a bunch of years ago, functional and useful both overpaid and therefore a whipping boy. If he can stick with his role and just keep contributing in some way he, just like Stajan, might be viewed in a different light in a few seasons. Who knows, he might even score the series winning goal against the Canucks some day! He is for sure a good fourth liner at the very least, and it's good that he's found his way to the score sheet lately.

He was at least hitting tonight. He made one horrific offensive play (after doing a good job to create it). A fourth line of him, Hathaway and Lazar would be physical anyway.
