Thats what I do too, but writing papers is such a huge part of Poli Sci it's kind of unavoidable.
When I did Poli-Sci at U of C there were a ton of papers, 1-2 big 'uns every class. If you're ever under the gun, dishonesty is the best route B)

Find a book that has your topic, read the appropriate chapter, summarize it in 10-15 pages.

The hard part is then going to the library to find 15 other sources on your topic and getting them to back up your story via footnotes (remember not to use the original in your footnotes/bibliography!). Simply go through each book's glossary/index at the back for any specific facts you need to source.

Hey, what can I say, in my early years I partied and couldn't be bothered to get a decent education :P
