If Gulutzan was replaced, how should it happen?
Sunday, December 10th, 2017.
The Flames went 0-2-1 against Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. The worst being a deflating loss on Saturday, December 9th against Vancouver where they held a 4-0 lead halfway through the game before ultimately falling 6-4.
The team sits at 14-14-2, when they announce the firing of Glen Gulutzan, Dave Cameron, and Paul Jerrard. The coaching trio gets replaced by Darryl Sutter, Mike Keenan, and the return of Marty Gelinas from the rafters to behind the bench.
Darryl’s defensive prowess, Keenan’s ability to get the absolute best out of his star players, and Marty’s work ethic combine into a super unit.
The Calgary Flames finish the season 66-14-2 and run the table in the playoffs going a perfect 16-0, with Sean Monahan taking over from Gelinas with a staggering 9 playoff OT goals during the run.
