I will only speak for myself, but I'd have to think there are lots of other guys in my situation.
for me, I am becoming a fair weather fan of pro-sports in general. I am usually pretty busy shuttling my son to/from his own hockey (a game night for him is now a commitment of almost 5 hrs plus practices 4 or more times per week), plus off ice stuff. You then start adding in stuff that I want to do (workout, biking, puttering in garage/basement), and then game times that are not conducive to watching TV (an afternoon game on a nice day - hard to want to sit inside for 3 hours when you could be outside).
For years I was a hardcore Wpg Blue Bombers fan because I had season tix with my dad and despite my best efforts, my son is not into football so I no longer go when the bombers come to town.
it can be hard to find the time and the energy to be a fan, when you are watching your kids do their thing as that slowly becomes your thing and a much bigger part of your life.
