I wonder if age matters? How the Flames performed used to impact me the day after and I'd be down, emotionally. I still remember the 2004 loss and how it actually hurt, emotionally. I was 24 at the time, in university with no other worries in my life other than grades, friends and the Flames.
I'm 37 now and not married, so I don't have family commitments like other guys but I don't get emotionally invested anymore. Could be maturity, could be team performance I guess, but I think it has more to do with age.
