And I also found this to be very interesting. On the defensive side of things, all the goals were scored in the goal crease, basically and all high danger chances were right in front of the net. Why? Why aren't our guys clearing that space? Why are we letting them just walk to the most dangerous area of the ice? I don't get it.

This has been the issue all season long. Flames haven't been able to convert on chances when the puck has been loose in front of the net, while the Flames defense has continually allowed for players to bang home chances from within there.
The defense is soft, and can't defend their slot. Last night when Flames had similar chances, the Flyers defense would tie down their sticks, or block the shots. They were much better at defending the slot. I believe this is what has been the case all season long.
