He is who he is and has a lot of attributes that are both rare and important in the NHL.

Yes, he is who he is. But players can still be coached to modify their play. And they can be utilized well, or poorly.
Gulutzan has Hamilton playing in a way that exactly minimizes his effectiveness. Hamilton is literally getting more passive with each game.
