Time to light Smith up. It would be a dream come true to see this come to fruition. Though, to be completely honest, I am happy to see that he is playing so well for Calgary.

I respect Mike Smith as a goalie and everything he did for the Coyotes. At the same time, I want to score on him 20 times tonight.

Calling it now, Mike Smith gets a hat trick.

Mike Smith's head will implode when we score on him because he'll try to death stare both teams.

Holy ####, somehow I completely forgot Stone was on the Flames.

We should have secretly stashed Stone in the minors for reconditioning and sent Campbell to Calgary.

I think our scoring strategy tonight is going to be to play the dump and chase and hope Mike Smith ****s up.

Nothing would make me happier with this game featuring GREASE IN THE CREASE than one or more of the following:

...a Coyotes goal after Smith misplays the puck behind the net;
...a Coyotes goal off a rebound while Smith is posing for the cameras off the initial save;
...a Mike Smith dive - even if it results in a goal against our PK - because I respect the classics;

...Smith basically playing his normal game, which means a couple of highlight-reel saves in a loss where his SV% is about .850.
Of course, given our franchise's luck, he'll shut us out and give us the patented Death Stare as he skates off the ice.

My prediction is that we get stomped OR we dominate most of the play like we have surprisingly often this season and lose anyways. Either way, we lose.

Lazy isn't the right word. That was the end of his shift and he clearly dug a little deep to catch a Flames player from behind.

He's just all about thinking, lurking, preying. He's like Vrbata in that he'll just hover around an opportune area but you won't find him putting in much board work. Hard to say if it's an unwillingness or a preference at this point.

Vision is still 10/10 with him. But with how the team is 'playing' right now, he has a very small chance to shine.

Why the almighty **** do all of our players hesitate so much before shooting? I would love to know the percentage of quality scoring opportunities that we've simply smashed into shin pads or redirected out of play from a defenders stick, all because they had to spend 2 seconds thinking about the shot. I suppose it doesn't really matter because lets be honest, those shots are all going high and wide even if they get through

I love that the 3 biggest pieces we acquired this summer are either perpetually injured (Raanta, Hammer) or just showing up with little drive (Stephan). I love the we have a good forward being put in the press box while mediocre junk takes his spot. I love that some really promising players have been infected with Coyoteitus that dooms them to suck.

A combination of disappointing moves that look good on paper, bad luck, dealing with a new system, and players suffering by being players of a franchise on life support.

It sucks to constantly making tweaks that end up just putting this team in the same spot. ****ing Groundhog Day level **** right here.

Sums up being a coyotes fan pretty well.
