Given the way the bottom half of this roster is going, I'd take "energy" and "safe" as a step up even without production. Play the other team to a tie and let the upper half of the club look after it.

There are some old, slow guys on the bottom six. A couple of them didn't play last night, but in general they are not compensating for their lack of speed with production or at least possession.
The good news for next year is that all but one are on expiring contracts. But that doesn't solve the problem. It just means it doesn't have to be permanent.
