I still dont see a reason as to why Freddie Hamilton is on the squad. Give the young guys on the heat a chance to play a game or two. Even if they slot in the lineup every second game is that such a bad thing. For example rotate one of them with Stajan/Lazar sitting out the odd game.

At least one of the younger guys have an upside and can have a taste of the action. Maybe they will grab the reigns and give a reason to stay up. This of which Freddie Hamilton has not shown he is any more than a warm body. He brings nothing to the table besides sitting out, which is what he should be grateful for.

Note, not that the 13th forward will have such an impact to change the Flames fortunes, but at least it gives a young guy a chance to play 40-50 games a year in the show.
