I do think he's decent option though as it's not purely a rental situation. As for the "third line" the team should be relying on the top 3 lines almost evenly or at least the second and third line evenly so IMO it doesn't matter what line he plays on providing he plays. Simmonds/Kane may be better options with Janko than Bennett is...now anyway.

Simmonds is a pretty consistent goal scorer - hovers at 30 every year. Bennett is a very inconsistent guy who has potential. I guess the question is - would we trade a 29 year old 30 goal scorer for that iffy of a return? Would we have traded Hudler in 2014 when he had a couple years to go on his contract for Ryan Strome? Maybe - I don't know.
