I was one of the posters standing up early on for Lazar saying we needed to at least see him play out a good chunk of games to get a feel but the more I see him the more I see a player that skates hard and that's about it. Hands of stone, low hockey IQ especially in the Ozone... I'm looking at what Hathaway is doing in the A and I'm thinking last night about what Benn did to Johnny and I think to myself we don't need so much of a trade to reinvigorate the 4th line more than we just need to make a call on Hathaway who had a pretty stellar showing in his stints with the Flames last year.
Send F. Hamilton down, send Stajan down or find a suitor who would take him at 50% retained and call up Hathaway.

I still feel that Versteeg is redundant now too considering that he was originally signed to be a skilled guy and he is far too small to play a 4th line game. His play on the 5-4 goal last night was despicable and he really hasn't helped drive the PP even though 5 of his 8 points are by way of the PP. If there was a way to move on from him as well I'd be all over it as I feel internally we have answers for that 4th line in Mangiapane and Hathaway who are appearing more and more hungry to receive the call.
