Buffalo is a mess, and any decent forwards they have, are tainted somehow.
Kane - Doosh nozzle, do you really want to pay premium for a pending UFA rental with serious character issues?
O'Reilly - Awesome versatile player, would be a great add but would also cost a premium price and is overpaid by about $1.5 million which would throw our cap situation out of whack. Get them to retain and the price goes up even further.
Eichel - Really talented young player who plays a very important position. Would cost a fortune to acquire due to age and pedigree, but do you really want to give up what it would take to get him in order to destroy your future cap situation? Seriously, the Sabres ruined this kids value by gifting him an 8 year $80,000,000 deal. He's not even a point per game player and he's going to carry a $10 million cap hit FFS. Talk about bending over and taking it right up the hoop in contract negotiations. The Wizard would have never done that.
Reinhart - Really hasn't shown much to be honest. He's been better than Bennett offensively in their young careers, but would he really be an overall upgrade? I like Bennett's feistiness.
Okposo - Another good, useful player on another terrible, terrible contract. It's like an epidemic down in Buffalo. No wonder they turfed their GM and didn't let him see the rebuild through.
The rest of the forwards there are of no interest to me personally.
