The only players I would be interested in are Eichel, O'Reilly, and Reinhart that's about it in terms of contracts.

Okposo or Pominville would be fine if the Sabres ate a portion and took Brouwer back (AKA not going to happen)

There are no higher end defensemen that would make sense for them to trade as Ristolainen is too good and unless the Flames are shuffling deck chairs, it just doesn't make a ton of sense for either side. The only trade there that would make sense is Hamilton for Risto and it seems like a pointless trade.

The goalies are both mediocre so there's nothing there.

So if the Flames are looking at a Sams trade, that could work I suppose. Bland trade though.
