No, we aren't. The issue is that your argument doesn't actually prove the point you think it does. In the five best-on-best Olympics, we won three gold medals. In those same five, the Russians won none. To suggest that Russia's best chance to finally win gold is now, specifically because Canada and the US will have their rosters crippled is not smugness in the slightest. It's a plain fact.
The only reason Russia has to pull this move with the KHL is a knowledge that there is no way they would ever pass doping tests with their KHL players.
