I figured there were some hoops to jump through to get Telus "installed" or whatever to receive the TELUS internet. I was told by the Telus nerd that I was wrong and it should just work by plugging in the modem. That's it. Just pull out the old one and plug in the new one and all should be dandy. Connecting through a router, or directly through the modem?
If it is through the modem, telus keeps track of the MAC address and only allows 2 of them at a time to be registered to your account. EIther the tech should help you (sounds like a useless rep) or you can alter it yourself at the OCA address (there are different onse for different areas - mine is at https://cesium.ab.tac.net/cgi-bin/oca2.cgi)
