My ideal outcome here would have been:
Witkowski - Automatic 10 game suspension
Tkachuk - 1 game suspension, spearing and game misconduct rescinded
Mantha - maximum fine
Witkowski was black and white, Tkachuk is a guy with a reputation that sparked the whole thing (but didn't spear anyone), and Mantha is a non-repeat offender who got caught up in the moment and did something dangerous and dumb.
To me, that sends the right message all the way around.
