My email confirmation from Telus didn't mention the free year of Amazon Prime so I emailed them back.. Got this a few hours later:

"Dear valued customer,

We appreciate you choosing to pre-order your Amazon Echo (Gen 2) with TELUS.

We had an issue where the confirmation email did not include details about your Amazon Prime membership. We wanted to confirm that you will indeed receive one year of Amazon Prime with your Amazon Echo (Gen 2) order. The details of your free Amazon Prime membership will be emailed to you once your order has been fulfilled.

At TELUS we’re constantly striving to provide you with the best customer experience. If you have any questions, please reply to this email (telusorders@telus.com). "
