It all comes down to how the team rebounds after this embarressment. It's too bad they had this poor quality of a game after all the great recent entertaining games the team has put together.
If Smith is not injured I doubt very much the Flames would have stunk out the joint. Lack just is not reliable even as a backup.
The NHL better show consistency for the rules and give that idiot the automatic 10 games and the other Redwing that grabbed Hamonic who was engaged in a fight with Mantha from behind while on the bench should get a few games too. Also if they have any sense of accountabily of a wrong call Tkachuks tap on the ankle does not and never has been interpretered as a spear??? Honestly I will be disappointed in the management if Treliving or Burke do not vocally push back on this.
