All of these fit the bill. Of course I would concur with much of what has already been mentioned.

Give Elton John a spin. "Madman Across the Water" and "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" aren't completely guitar driven, but many of the songs do fit the bill. You'll find the best tracks are the one's that were never hits.
