Witkowski can ragdoll linesmen and that's fine? This five minute penalty is just to make sure the Flames have a manpower disadvantage in case a full on brawl breaks out.
I remember when Detroit was a class organization--now they send out mouth-breather AHLers to try to injure guys when they've already won the game, and beat on a guy when he's down after a door swings open? Guess that appeals to the few fans actually in that rink in the middle of a pathetic semi-abandoned urban jungle that passes for that city. Hope they're now starting a 25-year no playoff streak.
