Lack didn't have a bad goal last game either. He let two goals in, but one was a snipe from one of the NHL's most elite shooters and the other was a lucky bounce off Ferland's stick. As others have mentioned, the Flames actually improved their play once Eddie slotted in.
I definitely agree that confidence is a huge factor, but after getting his first recorded win in Flames silks, after weeks of being cold with very little in terms of mental preparation, should allow him to relax a bit. If he had let in a bad goal last game, I think it'd be 50/50 between him and Jon, but he held the fort and even made a game changing save after being Bronx cheered. That speaks of character to me.
