The secondary is going to have to be fairly sharp, Maas seems to like running pass misdirection where he likes to draw the secondary to the middle of the field and then passes to the receiver or back going in the opposite direction. There are two examples of this. The first on the Bowman touchdown where he motioned the slot outside of the wide out and the wide out then ran a tight 7 to draw coverage in the middle of the field while Bowman ran a inside leverage post route that put the safety in a tough position.
He also likes to have his receivers on one side both route in to bring the secondary into the middle of the field and he either hits the running back going wide in a one on one with a linebacker. Or instead of the running back, he'll have the 4 slot come across the formation in a play action jet sweep then he leaks across traffic. This is the running back version of it, but you can see where the 4 could be used instead.
