With a new Council in place, Councillors Farkas and Colley-Urquhart put forward a motion to suspend the bid process for the next phase of the SWBRT construction (from the hospital to Woodbine).

The vote required a supermajority of 10 votes in order to pass. Instead, it received 11 votes against and failed.

Construction/completion of the SWBRT will continue as planned.
