If you read the article it notes that it also happened at the work place, during the work day, while people were in the other room.
It's definitely some sort of compulsion and he obviously recognizes it as abusive not just in the work place setting but as someone he knows young female comedians would look up to. CK himself acknowledges the behavior as an abuse of his power, even if it didn't start with that (I suspect this has been happening most of his life, before he was well-known enough for it to be a power thing).
