I think people are really forgetting to take a broader look at the league. Parity is more of a factor than it's ever been. With the exception of Tampa, st Louis, LAK no team is doing as well as fans would like and the coach gets a lot of flack. The positive signs are that the team is clearly following systems (which show players trust the coaches), areas of weakness are being addressed from game to game (look at the changes in special teams from game to game), and the coaches are making roster changes when necessary ( ie bartkowski out Andersen in and all the line shuffling).
The reality is that the league is at such parity that puck luck and competition is causing this team and "elite" teams to win and lose on a given night.
St Louis and LA will come back to earth I'm sure of it and Tampa has a very elite first line that carries the team any given game. If we could trade our first line for theirs flames would be top of league. Then no talk about gg. Let's just watch this form of entertainment for what it is and let the players play. Nashville will not make it to the final next year and the flames might. It's just how the NHL is built now.
