It was the kind of hit that should be a suspension. It was late. It was high. It was an east to west/blindside hit. McDermid leaves his feet. It looks like he leads with his elbow not shoulder.

It was a bad hit. As much as I hate the ducks, Kase is a young up and coming player with tons of potential that has been fun to watch so far this year. It would really suck if this concussion screws up his potential.

I think this will be the first suspension of the year for a hit like that, I hope the NHL makes an example of the guy. It could have been done way differently but instead he went for a dirty hit, that's not right.
