I've had a beard for about 7 years now. I use coconut oil every day. Just about the size of a quarter will do ya.
I've had some periods of very dry skin underneath. I've actually dumped baby oil all over my face on a few occasions to get some relief. Now I use a dandruff shampoo about once a week and a coconut oil conditioner every day.
