You can say that all you want, but at the end of the deal Colorado took on the most risk. They got a good quantity of futures, but with those you have no guarantee that even 1 of them will hit. Sounds like Girard is a good bet, but the risk is still there. 1st round picks in the range where that pick will likely be could easily end up being a Poirier/Klimchuk. The risk is real.
Ottawa wins this deal in my eyes. They got the best player.
