I just feel Treliving pushed too many chips in the middle a year too early on a guy like Hamonic. I mean I see the merit behind stacking the top 5 like it is even if it has not shown it's true potential yet, but coming into the trade deadline when you know your team needs more , the Flames have the only option of completely emptying the cupboards bare to go get that piece they feel they need.
I'd have rathered the Flames go out and trade for a guy like Mirco Mueller at a much lesser trade price and have some money left to buy at the deadline.
But it is what it is, we will have to wait and see but I really liked Stone/Brodie lat year and tonight just re-ignited that passsion and Hamonics trade price just irked me. And as early as it is, I didn't really notice a difference with him out of the lineup other than somehow Matt Bartkowski needs to stop playing games in a Flames uniform.
