I think he was pretty good in the playoffs last year too. 2 goals in 4 games and I think he played fine.
13+13 points last season is pretty average 3rd line numbers. It's not what people are hoping, but it's not zip.
So while right now he's playing bad, I would argue that the larger sample size says he's an okay player playing really bad right now, with potential to be a lot better.
