Default Electronics Recycling

I'm in the process of cleaning out much of my home as my father (a notorious pack-rat) passed away this past week. I've come across many boxes of random computer cables/wires and plug-ins that have obviously not been used in years.

I'm trying to avoid just throwing away many of his possesions as possible. The thought that this "junk" could benefit others as opposed to just sitting at the dump helps ease my pain/guilt of getting rid of all his "stuff"

I'm aware of the Electronics recycling depots in Calgary but there's alot of stuff such as old headphones, splitters etc. that I need to get rid of but according to the electronic recycling depot website they do not accept these things.

Does anyone know of a place that will take this kind of stuff?
