They started the GDT because nobody else did, there used to be some awesome GDT starters around here, but I also know people who got infractions over the same.

And to be perfectly fair, its a lot of work.

So let them start the thread, start the discussion, because what happens? The people that put in the effort either get a break or they come in later with their effort and analysis and get their just rewards anyways.

PuppetGuy used to do it for a bit, but occasionally he cant, he still comes in with his ridiculously awesome photoshops, just a bit later.

I could name HalifaxDrunk who used to do them at a quality level beyond words for years, but its a lot of work.

Its okay to take a break from time to time.

And further, why can't the posters who enjoy doing write-ups just post it in the thread? There's no rule saying they have to be the OP to do a write-up.
