Jankowski should have been with the big club all-along. In this respect, I consider the organization's stubborn refusal to move Bennett back to the wing to be the cause both of Jankowski's unnecessary demotion and Glass's unnecessary signing.

Jagr was signed before Jankowski was put on waivers, no? Regardless of order of events, I would expect GMs to have back room information/plans well ahead of us.
Albeit, different positions. Glass is also a different position. If Bennett was excelling this year at centre, it would be a different situation altogether, with perhaps Stajan or Lazar on their way out. Which would be a more difficult task, and with the initial hope that Bennett would excel, I can understand the order of events.
If it was truly Glass who took Jankowski's spot, why is he not going to the AHL now?
