Dougie can't really feel too bad even if the rumors were true.
Not only did we obtain Freddie, we actually called him up to the NHL and let him hang out and practice with Dougie.
They even were in on a game tying goal together on Flames home ice. Must have been a very special moment for them. To Freddie's credit, he worked hard to stay up and was fairly reliable amongst the hodgepodge of bottom liners we currently have, avoiding the unfortunate tag of CP whipping boy.
I would say this organization has not only done what Boston has (allegedly) failed to do, they even went farther than what Dougie (allegedly) originally expected.
