should be
Tkachuk - Monahan - Gaudreau
Giordano - - - - Hamilton
Gaudreau would have more options and more time on his off wing on the powerplay. Hamitlon might not have the hardest shot but he's got the most accurate and quick wrist shot on the team from the backend. Tkachuk deserves a larger role and allows more controlled board work with him on the first unit.
The Flames aren't the most talented group in the NHL but they're much better then Versteeg and Brouwer on the first PP unit.

Completely agree.
First of all... Tkachuk. How can any coach on this planet have Brouwer in front of the net on the 1st PP, while Tkachuk is sitting on his bench. It is absolutely astounding that this change hasn't been made yet.
Then, what I like about the rest of that 5 is that either Hamilton of Giordano can slide down to the left or right wall. And, either one of them can be the canon at the top. This makes the PP way more dynamic: 2 shooters (Hamilton and Giordano), 3 side-wall play makers (Gaudreau, Giordano and Hamilton), Monahan floating in the middle in case any assignments are dropped, and Tkachuk, with very soft hands plus the ability to get it done down low, in front of the net.
That PP would be infinitely more talented, and more dynamic, than what they are parading out there right now.
