What's with the thread title?

Anthony Rapp is not accusing Kevin Spacey of trying to rape him. We need to adopt the reddit policy that threads must have the same title as the article they reference. Why would anyone want to editorialize that title? Click bait? That's gross.

If Spacey does have a Weinstein like reputation, I'm sure he's going to be outed and have his day of judgement by the public but do we really need to try and sensationalize this story? It is kind of disgusting actually that people are salivating that this is the next salacious domino to fall and now we can all continue our judgement of Hollywood from afar.

This is yet another example of the entertainment industry letting people in positions of power take advantage of impressionable and usually young newcomers. It seems to be kind of a sick inside hazing ritual that you have to be sexually assaulted as part of your initiation. One of those "that's how it's always been and since I got hurt, I'm gonna hurt someone else" kind of situations.

And sadly, this is one of the tamer stories we've heard in the last few years. Between Weinstein, Cosby and others like Bryan Singer, thankfully this story begins and ends with Spacey making an advance, being told no thanks, and that being the end of the encounter. I hope this isn't a sign of much darker stories about to come and if it does, more power to the victims and screw Kevin Spacey and his amazing acting.
