It's like some of you have never worked for a large company or had any experience in management. I get why the players are upset and don't blame them but if you think management of any big company cares about their employees you are sadly mistaken as there's a reason they call it head count as that's because the employees are just warm bodies to be hired and let go as the company requires.

He also has a point in that the players are simply employees of the owners. If the owners feel kneeling during the anthem is hurting business they have the right to be able to ask their employees to stop it. I think the players need to understand that dropping ratings and attendance will end up hurting them in the long run as well as the next TV deals may not be as sweet and that means the salary cap will be affected. Sports is entertainment and a break from the day to day reality for fans and they don't want politics mixed in. The players can tweet whatever they want or kneel during anthems on their own time but if their employee expects them to stand during the anthem they should respect that just as our employers expect you and me to adhere to their dress and conduct policy.
