Flames played well for most of that game. Preds sat back after the early lead, but are also pretty overrated in my opinion. They are of course excellent from the blue line, but they have as weak of a forward group as any team in the league.
Bennett will of course get praise after the move to the wing, but i actually think he’s been one of the best players this season. I do question his hockey sense and ability to execute offensively. But he plays hard and does a lot of good things. Going to the wing seems to give him more confidence to be creative.
Ferland’s best game of the season so far. Backlund excellent. Tkachuk has a rare skillset.
The D need to join the offense more and that is a factor holding back the offense thus far.
Impressed with their effort tonight and glad it paid off.
