This is how they should line up on the powerplay......but they don't.
If you watch the WSH powerplay, Backstrom directs the entire show from the half-wall. It's artistry at it's finest.
If you watch the Tampa powerplay......same thing.
Give the puck to Gaudreau on the half-boards on his off-wing and let him do his thing....
Yeah, we don't have players the caliber that WSH/TB have but that doesn't mean our structure can't be the same.

Gaudreau can't protect the puck as easily on his off-wing. On left side he can use his body to protect more easily. This is also important as a regular carrier of the puck on the PP. And he does just fine as a distributor from where he is.
