Sort of defeats the purpose of a training camp, doesn't it? They finally get that standout they were hoping for and yet a GM as smart and capable at Treliving cant find a way to shuffle guys (some of them barely useful) to make one spot on his roster.
Pretty bad. The other kids probably look and see that well if Jankowski can't make it the way he's playing right now, what the hell kind of chance do I have?
Sets a poor example.

Honestly just two awesome, fantastic posts nearly back to back. Both exactly right.
For Monahan. I completely understand why people would view him potentially negatively, but that skill level to convert and put pucks in the net at the NHL level the way he does, and the nose for the net, and the absolutely ridiculous clutch factor- a lot can be forgiven because just about no players are capable of those types of features.
Honestly, if in some incredible future Calgary is playing for a Stanley Cup again and it’s game 6 or 7 overtime who do we think is going to be the biggest threat and possibly bring the Cup to Calgary? On this roster it is Monahan.
